MENAFem at the IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings 2025
As the world faces converging crises of inequality, debt, and climate breakdown, feminist movements continue to demand a transformation of global economic systems. This October, MENAFem Movement for Economic, Development, and Ecological Justice, in collaboration with our regional and global partners, will once again take part in the IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings 2025 in Washington D.C., through the Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF) and a series of independently organized side events.
Building on momentum from Seville, Belem, and Rabat, our 2025 program highlights feminist and civil society perspectives on IMF reform, debt justice, climate finance, and economic sovereignty. These sessions will examine how international financial institutions can move beyond austerity and extractivism toward approaches that center justice, sustainability, and human rights.
Together with allies across movements and regions, MENAFem seeks to reimagine multilateralism through a feminist and decolonial lens—one that prioritizes care, equity, and collective wellbeing.
Below is the schedule of MENAFem’s participation at the IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings 2025, including both CSPF sessions and our side events. Hope to see you there!
